[continue reading]]]> When everything is going well financially – a secure job, an indulgent lifestyle, rising house prices etc. – we tend to think that it will continue, but as we are all too aware things have changed… unemployment is rising, house prices are falling and we aren’t buying luxury items anymore.

When things are all rosy we tend to put our trust in mankind and it’s often only when things look bleak do we genuinely place our trust in God. It’s too early to say for sure, but the uncertainty seems to be reminding people that trusting in earthly treasures is foolish and the only true path to happiness is through Jesus.
